Climate Classroom is an educational webseries for kids that uses puppetry to teach the science behind the causes of climate change. The main characters “Cindy Green” and her cat “Solar,” will teach aspects of climate science while trying to save “Mother Earth,” who they speak to on a computer tablet. "Glug" a villain, is a T-Rex skull who represents fossil fuel, makes appearances threatening "Mother Earth." Additionally, “Old Banana and Ugly Carrot” rod puppets in a newscast from the kitchen garbage can, teach what humans can do such as reduce food waste and emissions. Overall, Climate Classroom aims to teach the cause of climate change by continuously using an easy to understand metaphor of a planet earth wrapped in a heat trapping blanket of carbon pollution, as well as showing what is happening on the molecular level. Helping kids learn about climate change in a way that does not place blame, guilt or crisis based scenarios, will hopefully will ignite inspiration to do something. This show will also provide kids with the options that are within their power to take their first steps of climate change prevention. Every episode will address an issue of the climate change crisis and include an action young people can do. It is designed for ages 4-10.
